Guideline and recommendation for the implementation of policy for the processing of the “BIG Data”

 

On February 10, 2020, the Italian independent Authorities, such as the National Communication Authority (Autorità per le garanzie nelle comuncazioni (Agcom)), the Competition Authority ( Autorità garante della concorrenza e del mercato (AGCM)) and the Data Supervisory Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) issued a joint survey related to the  “BIG Data” , which aims at analyzing the effects produced from the processing of this massive volume of data, that includes also personal data, as defined by the article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)),  in the Italian social, economic, political and legal context .
