Does Fortnite comply with GDPR?
28 january 2019
Fortnite, the popular online game of Epic Games and People Can Fly played worldwide by kids and adults, has already been targeted by hackers, who either tried to convince users to install a phony Android version or get them to log into fake websites to get game currency.
In addition, according to IT World Canada , Security vendor Check Point Software this week said it discovered a new problem: The game’s website had a vulnerability that could have allowed a hacker to take over a user’s account.
At this point, Italian consumers have the right to know if Fortine really complies with GDPR and Italian Data protection Code, processing personal data under article 32 of GDPR, taking into account that this game processes many personal data of end-users, including emails and credit cards.
